Graham Cook, #Labour councillor for #Haygate ward #Wellington, was on hand to see the recently completed traffic lights installed at one of the towns busiest junctions.

After listening to concerns raised by local residents, Cllr Cook and officers from the Telford and Wrekin Highways team developed a plan to improve road safety at the junction of Haygate road and Holyhead road.

The changes have ensured that residents at Oakwood and Vesey Court can now access Wellington safely by using the crossing points around the Junction, whilst improving the flow of traffic both into and out of Wellington.

Local walkers commented on how much they welcomed the changes, “the changes were much needed, it really does improve road safety for all”.
